1950 Buescher Top Hat Cane TH&C Alto Sax Saxophone B7 True Tone Player's Horn!! If you are familiar with this model, it will be a breeze for you!

When I got it, I completely disassembled the horn, removed the old pads, cleaned and lubricated all rods, tubing and key rollers, gave the body and keys a good bath with soap and water, and replaced the pads. Nearly all of the snap in resonators are still there.

The only ones missing are the Bis Bb key and the palm keys. The lacquer appears to be original, as the engraving is sharp, and is at about 25-30%. It looks like there was some repair history on the player's side of the bow (dents removed, but no flattening of the bow), a small crease above the "400" on the bow, and a ping on the neck. Looks like at least one of the feet of the low Eb keyguard, and the bottom post for the low C# key was resoldered. The low B tone hole has some very minor inconsistencies, making it less than perfectly round.

It has been checked for leaks, and I can play a subtone Bb without having to apply extra pressure. I'd play it on a gig tonight if I didn't keep hitting the LH G# and palm F.

Darker than my King S20, but still projects nicely. The intonation is better than any vintage horn I have ever played, and the altissimo response is outstanding. Comes with an older, but functional Pro Tec case. The wide bell didn't fit in any of my other Pro Tec cases, but you can zip this one shut up to the last 2 inches or so.
