This horn has its factory original funky plastic back sax guard with corn stalks and Conn marching men!! These plastic guards make or break these horns!! These plastic guards can break quite easily.

The plastic drys out and breaks around the screws, or cracks, or a hit to hard just destroys them. Most times you find these saxophones these guards are in real bad condition if not missing all together. This saxophone has its ORIGINAL 1950 Conn factory guard fully entact with no cracks, just some surface scratching and aging!!! Its amazing to see this in such nice shape on a sax. The gold of the corn and marching men pops right off in the hands!

This saxophone its factory ornate engraving with corn stawks growing throughout the whole bell, as well the Conn marching band men logo. The original Conn factory was surrounded by miles of corn fields in every direction, so you will notice they pad ode to this in engravings and logos in various saxophones! This saxophone has its original case with Conn marching band men logo!

This saxophone comes with its original factory lacquer care card! This saxophone comes with its original Conn guarantee and registry card book on original hand tag. At the time Conn made a deal with the customers. The customer did just that, sent the card with there info and so along came the book! Included is original 1950 Conn how to care for your saxophone 40 page book!!!

Included is a rare Conn Comet mouthpiece with original ligature and cap! Included is vintage, perhaps, factory original Conn lyre, as well old vintage very nice neck strap, as well original bill of sale and store records of getting the sax fixed. The Conn 28m is a very interesting quirky saxophone that features many things not typically found on a saxophone. The neck has an underslung octave key with no micro tuner thats extremely sleek and sexy. This neck is a double socket receiver to it.

The neck has a hidden #2 stamped on it! Not sure what it means, but its very cool. There werent all that many of these horns ever made. Out of those horns so many were lost, destroyed, trashed, parts missing, re lacquered, all sorts of random things. To find this horn in this condition preserved like this is an american treasure.

If you have been looking to add one of these to your collection this is the one!!! Due to the saxophone being so original I did no want to change the pads or anything on the horn, however the horn was setup by a professional saxophone tech on the pads it has. The saxophone is currently opening and closing just as it should, pretty much leak free for the most part.

Again, this is its original pads, so its ever going to be as primo as a brand new pad job overhaul, but I think its best case to find a horn setup no nicely but still having original pads. The case came with a note not to lock the locks on the case, I think there in locked position so you could get locked out.

The Comet mouthpiece appears to have a crack in the shank, very cool mouthpiece ligature cap setup, you are paying for the sax, this comes with it! The pads are factory, original, older pads. You will want to change the pads and overhaul to make this a modernized fully playing gigging saxophone. Rare Conn Comet mouthpiece with ligature and cap!
