1932 Conn Transitional Alto Saxophone with some 6M features - including the adjustable thumb. All reasonable offers will be considered. I have a LOT more photos. Just ask and I'll send them.
JUST professionally overhauled at Flying Squirrel music here in Raleigh a few weeks ago! Real G# & bis key. All pads replaced with Ferree's calfskin pads throughout except the G# and bis keys which are black kangaroo pads to prevent sticking. All keys swedged, no play. SUPER tight, poppy, fluid action.
The horn has NO leaks, no issues. The horn is not cosmetically perfect, but man its pretty close to it. Have a look at the photos. One small little peck on the bow about the size of a pencil eraser.A very small amount of wear on the keyguards showing the bare brass underneath the silver plate. The entire horn was chemical dipped and cleaned & polished.
ALL original screws are present. Only 3 springs were replaced with period correct replacements.
New corks, felts throughout & the micro tuner mechanism on the neck was taken apart & thoroughly cleaned and oiled. The original, matching micro tuner works perfectly. The case latches and hinges are all working, but the case lid does not stay open. The fabric finish on the case has mostly flaked off, so it looks pretty bad, but there is no mold or musty odor in the case. Please feel free to ask any questions.I'll be glad to answer.
