Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) Alto sax 1954

For sale this SBA alto from 1954, the last year before they introduced the Mark vi, so the transitional model, with some elements of the newer style keywork. It has that slightly warmer tone than the vi, but like all Selmers is very flexible and will give you a singing brightness when you push it. You can get an idea of its tone from this quick video.

It plays beautifully and easily top to bottom although it clearly hasnt been played that much as it is still in amazing condition. Its just had a complete overhaul and re-pad at Howarths of London who confirmed the lacquer is original. Id rather not have to courier it, but can arrange viewing and collection from east London, or Cornwall.
