Yamaha is widely regarded as making the best student model saxophones on the market. They are well built, and of consistent quality, with good intonation, and modern/ergonomic key-work. This model is consistently recommended by band directors and private lesson instructors for their students.

This one is in ready to play condition right out of the box! I have just done a full re-pad on this horn. Every pad on the instrument was replaced and meticulously adjusted for proper seating with light finger pressure. Along with the re-padding, the instrument was fully disassembled and thoroughly cleaned, and fresh lubrication applied. It also has a new neck cork.

With proper care and maintenance, this sax will provide many years of service before it will need any further investment for pad work. It plays great from top to bottom, as you can hear in the video demonstration, linked below, of this instrument. See the product in action. This sax is also in excellent physical condition. The body is perfectly straight, and the neck has not been pulled down or otherwise damaged.

There are maybe one or two very minor pings, but no significant dents or dings. There is one re-soldered key guard foot.

The keys are all operating smoothly. The lacquer shows typical light scratching and wear throughout, but overall this sax looks better than most. This sax comes with its original 4C mouthpiece, ligature and cap. The mouthpiece looks like new, and it has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to use. Also included is a padded Yamaha neck strap. No reeds are included, but I do have some available for sale separately (see my other listings). This sax comes in its original case. The case is in good used condition. It is solid, and the inside is clean and odor free. The exterior covering has little scuffed away spots, which is par for the course with this particular style of case. This is a great horn for beginner to intermediate level players of all ages. This model holds its value very well at this level, so if you do decide to move up to a pro level horn down the road, you can likely recoup the bulk of your investment in this one.
