Yamaha YAS-62 Purple Logo Alto Sax with Super Tone 5 Star MTPC

It comes with a Super Tone 5 Star Mouthpiece and the original neck. It also comes in a hardshell gig case with a shoulder strap. It is a one-owner sax. He played professionally but as recently retired due to aging hands and took excellent care of the horn. The "Purple Logo" saxophone is Yamaha's first professional level saxophone and was made in the late 70's into the 90's.

This saxophone, though it is older, still offers modern keywork and a sound that is hard to beat. This model of horn is also known for its intonation stability. The "purple logo" model of this horn definitely has a different feel and sound compared to the newer models, but is still an amazing horn. It has a darker, fuller sound you may associate with older, vintage horns. There are some very minor cosmetic blemishes on the horn, most of which come from normal wear and tear.

The neck also has some very minor blemishes. The horn did go through our repair shop where it was completely checked over and test played. It was cleaned, pads were reseated as needed, and it was regulated. Sides Family Music Center has been serving musicians since 1937.
