It is a Keilwerth stencil (made to order by Keilwerth) from the 1960s. This instrument is identical to the New King or Toneking models of that time. The saxophone still has the rolled tone holes. It is a professional instrument according to the well-known quality standards of Keilwerth. Everything made in Germany and with good raw materials.
These old saxophones were and are handcrafted and offer a better quality than modern Far East saxophones in this price range. Keilwerth saxophones are mechanically and materially very durable and high quality horns.
This instrument is in good condition considering its age. First of all: The saxophone has mostly old pads and must be overhauled, adjusted and re-padded for use. It doesn't play as it is. BUT: The body and mechanics are in quite good condition considering their age. It has no irreparable technical damage or dents.Mechanics are in good condition and not warped. The body is straight and only one soldered joint on the H/B guard is visible. The instrument is also in good condition for its age except for some discoloration and scratches all around as well as abrasion of the laquer. The Plexiglas guard is cracked in the usual places around the screw holes but not broken through. Due to the good substance and quality, the instrument offers a great starting point for an overhaul.
The instrument comes with the original case, which unfortunately only serves as protection and is really "through". So you will need a spare case for the foreseeable future. Ich biete hier ein insgesamt gut erhaltenes Major by Selmer Düsseldorf Alt-Saxophon aus den 60er Jahren zum Verkauf an. Es handelt sich dabei um ein Keilwerth Stencil (Auftragsfertigung bei Keilwerth) aus den 1960er Jahren.
Dieses Instrument ist baugleich mit den New-King bzw. Das Saxophon hat noch die gerolltengebördelten Tonlochkamine. Es handelt sich um ein professionelles Instrument nach den bekannten Qualitätsstandards von Keilwerth.
Noch alles made in Germany und mit guten Rohstoffen. Diese alten Saxophone waren und sind handwerklich gefertigt worden und bieten eine bessere Qualität als moderne Fernost-Saxophone in dieser Preisklasse.Keilwerth Saxophone sind mechanisch und materialtechnisch sehr langlebig und robust. Dieses Instrument befindet sich in einem altersgemäß guten Zustand.
Vorab: Das Saxophon hat überwiegend alte Polster und muss für den gebrauch überholt, eingestellt und neu gepolstert werden. Es spielt so wie es ist nicht. ABER: Der Korpus und die Mechanik sind altersmäßig gut erhalten. Es hat keine irreparablen technischen Schäden oder Dellen. Die Mechanik ist in gutem Zustand und nicht verzogen. Optisch ist das Instrument ebenso altersgemäß bis auf einige Verfärbungen und Kratzer rund herum sowie Lackabrieb gut erhalten. Der Plexiglas Klappenschutz ist an den üblichen Stellen um die Schraublöcher herum angeknackst aber nicht durchgebrochen. Das Instrument bietet aufgrund der guten Substanz sowie und Qualität eine super Ausgangsbasis für eine Überholung. Ein Super solides und hochwertiges Instrument für vergleichsweise kleines Geld. Das Instrument kommt mit dem original Koffer, der leider nur noch als Schutz dient und wirklich "durch" ist. Man braucht also auf absehbare Zeit einen Ersatzkoffer dazu.
