Silver Plated Adolphe Sax 84 Rue Myrha Alto Saxophone Serial # 368
Silver Plated Adolphe Sax 84 Rue Myrha Alto Saxophone - Serial # 368. This is another neat collector's item unearthed by Saxquest. This is a true vintage Adolphe Sax alto sax in silver plate, serial number 368. This horn was produced by Adolphe's son, Adolphe Edouard Sax, when his factory was based out of the 84 Rue Myrha address, as stamped on the bell. The silver plating on this alto is tarnished, but can easily be shined up to look like new. It shows minor finish wear to the usual touch points, but no major plating wear otherwise. There are also no dents or signs of previous damage or repair. This includes the original neck, which is in stellar shape. Finding Adolphe horns in this kind of condition is fairly rare this days.
If you have a growing collection of vintage horns, and would like to add a true piece of sax history to your collection, you can't go wrong with this beauty. Ships in a good hard case.
